Whitpain Police Reports: Burglary, DUI, Drug Arrest
Police incident reports from Whitpain Township Police Department.

Burglary - On August 28th at 2:10 am police responded to the unit block of Betsy Ln for a report of 6 or 7 subjects breaking into a residence. When police arrived they found one 18 yr old male victim bleeding heavily from a cut to his head. He was transported by ambulance to Mercy Suburban Hospital for treatment where he received stitches to his head. Witnesses reported that four subjects showed up at a party at the residence and were told to leave as they were not invited. They left after words were exchanged but returned 10 to 15 minutes later with more people. They kicked open a locked rear sliding glass door, entered the residence and began fighting with those already at the party.
They caused damage to the property and several items were reported stolen from the residence after the homeowner arrived home. Officers immediately began checking the area for the actors and an Ambler Police officer locate Brandon Moore, 22 yrs old of the 300 block of Chelsea Ave in North Hills walking on Mt Pleasant Ave near Rail Road Ave. He was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct. Brandon Moore was arraigned by District Justice Robert Sobeck and transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail.
Further arrests are pending. The total value of property needing repairs and missing items was reported to be approximately $3,400.00. The son of the homeowner, Theodore Kling, 19 yrs old, of the Betsy Ln address was cited for Underage Possession for providing alcohol to his friends at the party.

DUI - On Sept 2nd at 12:39 am, an officer observed a black Ford swerving on the roadway on Dekalb Pk. The officer stopped the vehicle on Dekalb Pk near Township Line Rd and spoke to the driver, identified as William Ballantine, 34 yrs old of the 100 block of Kalos St in Philadelphia. Mr. Ballantine appeared intoxicated and was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital for blood. Charges including DUI and traffic offenses will be filed once blood results are received from the lab.
Drug Violation - On August 31st at 9:32 pm an officer stopped a gold Plymouth On Dekalb Pk near Jolly Rd after the driver failed to stop for a red light. During the stop the officer was able to smell marijuana coming from inside the car. During the stop the officer found a plastic jar that contained marijuana residue. Kevin Mosley 18 yrs old of the 2000 block of S. John Russell Cr in Elkins Park was cited for Disorderly Conduct and issued a traffic citation for the red light violation.

Disorderly Conduct - On August 28th at 12:35 pm an officer on Patrol on Railroad Ave noticed a white Chevy being driven by Michael Ganges, 27 yrs old of the 500 block of Lincoln Dr in Ambler and knew that Mr. Ganges’ driver’s license was under suspension. The officer stopped the vehicle and while talking to Mr. Ganges, could smell burned marijuana. Located within the vehicle was a marijuana cigarette and a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana. Mr. Ganges was issued a traffic citation for Driving without a license and arrested for Disorderly Conduct for possessing marijuana.
Disorderly Conduct - On August 25th at 10:00 pm an officer was traveling behind a white Lincoln on Penllyn Blue Bell Pk in the area of Skippack Pk. The officer could smell marijuana coming from the Lincoln. The officer stopped the car and the driver Samantha Giovinazzo, 22 yrs old of the 100 block of W. 2nd Ave in Conshohocken and the passenger, Britona Holman, 22 yrs old of the 1500 block of Tulpehocken St in Philadelphia admitted they were smoking marijuana, and turned over a grinder and a small amount of marijuana. Both were cited for Disorderly Conduct and released.
