Whitpain Police Reports: Warrant Arrest, Crash
Police incident reports from Whitpain Township Police Department.

Warrant Service - On Sept 8th at 12:58 am, a silver Pontiac was stopped on Swede Rd for a traffic violation. During the stop it was learned that Norristown Borough had an outstanding warrant for one of the passengers, Toya Williams, 23 yrs old of the 1000 block of Powell St for Theft. She was taken into custody, transported to Norristown Borough and released into their custody.
Disorderly Conduct - On Sept 8th at 9:58 pm, an officer checked a suspicious green Honda that was parked in the Cathcart Road lot of Montgomery County Community College. When the officer approached the car he could smell marijuana. The driver, and only occupant, Nicholas Roman, 22 yrs old of the 100 block of Carroll Ave in Glenside gave the officer marijuana and a grinder that he had in his possession. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and released.
Crash With Injuries - On Sept 9th at 3:29 pm, police received a call of a crash with rescue at Skippack Pk and Wentz Rd. When police arrived they found that a Chrysler driven by Drew Salaman, 65 yrs old of Jenkintown had struck the driver’s side of a Chevy Impala as it was making a left turn from Wentz Rd onto Skippack Pk. The driver of the Chevy, 26 yr old Edward Wright Jr of Collegeville had to be extricated from the vehicle by Centre Square Fire Company and was transported to Abington Hospital by Second Alarmers Ambulance. The passenger, 25 yr old Doreen Wright, did not report any injuries. The investigation determined that Mr. Salaman was traveling east on Skippack Pk and failed to stop for a red light, striking the Chevy as it entered the intersection
