Wissahickon's Middle School Science Teacher Named State Teacher of the Year

Monica Weninger, a science teacher at the Wissahickon Middle School, was presented with the State Teacher of the Year award by the Air Force Association.

Weninger was chosen as Teacher of the Year for bring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to life, as well as for bringing the robotics team to the middle school.

"I know that I'm really fortunate," said Weninger, discussing the support from the district and faculty at the Middle School.

"We are very proud of your efforts and even more of what you do for our kids every single day," said Judy Clark, Superintendent of Schools.
