Wissahickon School District Without Power, Phone Service
District assessing ability to open school on November 1.

Information from Wissahickon School District website:
We know how very challenging and frustrating these last few days have been due to Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath of the storm.
As of noon today (10/31), we are still without power, email, and phone service in the majority of our district schools, bus garage and central office. We are working with township officials, police and emergency management to assess our status and ability to open school tomorrow, Thursday, November 1, 2012.

We recognize that a large number of our families in our community are still without power. Please periodically check the website for updates regarding the possible re-opening of school. We ask that if you know of anyone who doesn’t have power that you share this information with them.
Thank you,
