14 Suspicious Fires Set In Allegheny County, Suspect IDed: Police

Allegheny County police are looking for a suspect in what they say are 14 suspicious fires set between April 23 and July 9.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — County police have identified a suspect in 14 suspicious fires they say were set in Homestead and Munhall between April and July.

"There have been trash and dumpster fires, as well as one vacant structure set on fire," the county police department said. "The Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that all fourteen fires were incendiary."

Allegheny County police shared a photo of a suspect in a July 2 fire, and are asking for the public's help identifying him.

County Police have been investigating along with the fire marshal's office, Munhall Police, West Homestead Police, and Homestead Police.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.
