15-Year-Old Boy Charged with Criminal Mischief in Whitehall

And another local police story.

15-Year-Old Boy Charged

Whitehall Borough police received a call at around 11 p.m. on Sunday from a resident in the 1600 block of Skyline Drive of the Wallace (Prospect) Park area.

According to Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko, the resident reported that somebody had recently caused damage to his vehicle parked nearby.

The vehicle's left rear taillight had been shattered, and after interviewing a witness, police determined that a 15-year-old boy who lived in the same area threw a rock at it, Danko said.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $150.

The boy has been charged with criminal mischief and is to make restitution to his victim, according to the deputy chief.

Loud Music (Twice) Leads to Disorderly Conduct Charge

Whitehall police received a call at around 10 p.m. on Sept. 5 from a resident in an apartments building in the 1600 block of Parkline Drive of the Prospect Park area.

The resident was calling to complain about a fellow resident of the building's loud music, Danko said.

Upon their arrival to the building, police located the apartment in question and advised the resident there to turn her music's volume down.

She complied, Danko said, but about 11 minutes later, police were called back to the same apartment for the same type of noise.

When police came to her door this time, the resident said that she doesn't have time for them and to send her a citation in the mail.

Police complied, the deputy chief said, and are charging Stacy Yvette Thomas, 48, with disorderly conduct.
