Baldwin Grads Start 'ZomBiewEar' Clothing Company

Zombie-themed T-shirts are available now at Century III and Pittsburgh Mills New Dimension Comics stores.

To say that Ryan Eperthener and Brandon Becker, co-founders of the ZomBiewEar clothing company, are fans of zombie movies would probably be a safe assumption.

After all, Becker convinced Eperthener to let him in on the business only after telling Eperthener exactly what to do in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

The longtime friends, both Baldwin High School graduates and Baldwin-Whitehall residents, are now trying to dress for exactly such an occasion—and make sure that you're dressed for it, too.

Their company's T-shirts, available in black and grey, consist of green lettering staggered across a bloody red background, and they are available now at two New Dimension Comics stores—the ones at Century III Mall in West Mifflin Borough and at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum Borough.

T-shirts are also available online at the ZomBiewEar website for $10 each.

"We are hoping to get enough profit (from the original T-shirt sales) to begin Phase 2 of our plan," Becker said. "We plan on launching a line of skull caps with our logo as well as a series of shirts with well-placed cuts and tears to give the look of a zombie."

Becker and Eperthener hope to have prototypes of those new designs ready for Nov. 11 when ZomBiewEar will participate in a Pittsburgh Comic & Collectibles Show inside inside Century III Mall from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

The show will be held directly across the hall from the recently expanded New Dimension Comics Century III location. Admission is $3, and with that comes the opportunity to grab freebies, win door prizes and meet many artists, writers and other celebrities. Click here for more information.
