Baldwin Man Sentenced In Killing Of Ex-Girlfriend's New Boyfriend

Matthew Lambert was sentenced to a lengthy prison term for hiring people to kill Tre Valorie.

BALDWIN, PA — A Baldwin man has been sentenced to 22 to 54 years in prison for his role in the 2019 fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.

Matthew Lambert, 24, pleaded guilty in October to charges of third-degree murder, conspiracy and recklessly endangering another person in connection with the death of Tre Valorie. He allegedly paid three other people to kill Valorie, who was dating the ex-girlfriend, Chassity Lubawski.

Valorie was shot in May as he and Lubawski left Rumerz Sports Bar & Grill in Brighton Heights.

Lambert had previously served time at the Allegheny County Jail on charges of terroristic threats and stalking in relation to Ms. Lubawski.

Two of the other three defendants are awaiting trial. The third, Onaje Dickinson, died shortly after Valorie's murder in a gunfight with Penn Hills police.
