Former Baldwin Police Officer Dies

BALDWIN, PA - Retired Baldwin Police Officer Patrick Coyne has died, the police department announced on its Facebook page. He passed away suddenly last week while visiting family in North Carolina.

Officer Coyne was 67.

"After retirement, Pat remained a borough resident and maintained relationships with many of the officers," the Facebook post stated. "He was a true friend and will be missed."

Officer Coyne was a U.S. Army military police officer before joining the Baldwin force in 1982. Following his retirement, he became a special investigator at the Pennsylvania Department of Banking.
