Kurt Hinish Fundraiser Today at Getaway Cafe
A fundraiser for Kurt Hinish, a Baldwin High School graduate and local coach, will be held today, Friday, at Getaway Cafe.
A fundraiser is being held at the Getaway Cafe in Baldwin Township today, Friday, April 5, for a local man fighting cancer.
Kurt Hinish, a 1984 graduate of Baldwin High School and a volunteer coach for the Baldwin-Whitehall Youth Football Association, recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his colon.
He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, severely hampering his ability to work as a self-employed concrete contractor.

The fundraiser is being held at Getaway Cafe today, Friday, April 5, between 3 and 11 p.m. Customers who tell servers they are dining for the "Hinish Fundraiser" will have 20 percent of their food purchases donated to Kurt's family.
The donations will not include gift certificate sales and will not be good with any other coupons or offers.
