Large Powerball Winning Ticket Sold In Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH, PA — Someone in suburban Pittsburgh has a $200,000 winning ticket from Monday's Powerball drawing.

The ticket was sold at the the Giant Eagle on Towne Square Way in Brentwood.

According to Pennsylvania Lottery officials, the ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn (5, 8, 9, 17, 41) and the red Powerball (21).

The ticket buyer spent an extra $1 for the Power Play option, which multiplied the prize from $50,000 to $200,000.

The winner has a year to claim the prize. Giant Eagle gets a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.
