Pittsburgh Grocery Store Shut Down By Health Department
The Allegheny County Health Department has closed a popular Pittsburgh-area grocery.

WHITEHALL, PA — Mold is icky - particularly when it's on an edible item.
The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of the Noble Asian Grocery Store on Saw Mill Run Boulevard following a recent inspection that included a bag of kimchi in a cooler that was expired and had severe black mold-like growth on it.

Indoor sewer line excavations and demolition in a rear storage room resulted in boxes of food partially submerged in dirt. More than two dozen of severely dented cans were found throughout the facility.

Bags of bulk frozen squid, sausage, chicken feet, chicken livers also fresh beef, pork not labeled for retail were located in the restaurant.
There is no timetable for the store to reopen.
