Route 51 Crash Shuts Down Road; 4 Hospitalized

WHITEHALL, PA — Four people were hospitalized following a violent crash Wednesday evening on Route 51 near Baldwin High School.

Two vehicles were involved in the wreck; one was propelled into a nearby parking lot off of the busy road.

The wreck caused the road to be shut down for several hours, but it since has reopened.

The condition of those injured was not immediately available.

There's no word yet on the cause of the crash.
