UPDATE: The race/walk will necessitate the closure of Brownsville Road from McAnulty Road to Streets Run Road from approximately 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Those interested in participating in 's annual 5,000-meter race and 1-mile fun walk have until July 31 to complete pre-registration for the event.
The run/walk—part of Whitehall's 2012 Community Day celebration ("Rockin' Through the Ages")—starts at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Pre-registration by mail costs $12 per person and includes a long-sleeved race T-shirt. Pre-registrations must be postmarked by July 31.
Registration after that date—or at on Community Day itself from 8 to 9 a.m.—costs $14 per person.

Those who register on Community Day are not guaranteed a T-shirt, as shirts will only be given out that day while supplies last. (All fees are non-refundable.) Pre-registration packets may be picked up at the Snyder Park registration table on Community Day.
Checks are to be made payable to the "Whitehall Recreation Board" and mailed with race applications to: Borough of Whitehall 5K Race, 100 Borough Park Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
