• Bellefonte waterfront project eyes spring 2026 construction start (wjactv.com) — Bellefonte’s long-discussed waterfront redevelopment could finally break ground next spring, with a hotel and parking garage topped by condos targeted for completion in July 2027. Developer Tom Songer told Bellefonte Borough Council he’s close to securing financing after years of delays from COVID and rising construction costs, and plans to put the project out to bid once funding is locked in. 
• PA Mom Arrested After Cops Find Drugs in Trunk & Kid in Back Seat (cafemom.com) — State investigators say a Pennsylvania couple was arrested on I-99 with about two pounds of cocaine in their trunk after allegedly traveling between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with a small child in the back seat. The pair reportedly told police they were taking the child to a dentist after eating in Bellefonte. The child is now in a grandparent’s care while both adults face felony charges.
