Bensalem police officers recovered 160 bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl after conducting a controlled buy on Tuesday, authorities said.

BENSALEM, PA - Bensalem police officers recovered 160 bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl after conducting a controlled buy on Tuesday, authorities said.
On March 28, 2023, Bensalem Township Police Special Investigations Unit conducted a controlled buy in the 3600 block of Street Road, Bensalem police said.
The target of the operation, Desean Howard, 35, of Boudinot Street in Trenton, New Jersey, was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and related charges, Bensalem police said.

The charges stem from a tip that Howard was selling heroin/fentanyl at businesses along Street Road over the past few months, police said.
Howard was arraigned by District Justice Jan Vislosky and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $300,000 bail, police said.
