A Field of Flags Will Mark 9/11
This Sept. 11 event is sponsored by the township and the Kiwanis Club.
Bensalem is planning to mark Sept. 11 with a memorial to honor those lost on that day 10 years ago.
“As we all know freedom is not free, and we reflect on the lives of the innocent victims who lost their lives in the World Trade Center, the fields of Shanksville, and the emergency personnel who never made it home the night of that unforgettable September day,” said Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo in a release.
The event will take place at . It will feature 911 full-size flags displayed by the Bensalem Kiwanis Club. Visitors will also be provided with small flags.

The Grammy Award winning will perform patriotic hymns following the national Stop and Remember Moment of Remembrance at 1 p.m.
There will be a showing on the TD Bank Amphitheater stage of a special 9/11 production that “depicts the events of that horrible day and the sentiments 10 years later.”
