Applications Sought for Mayor’s Scholarship

Local high school seniors have until April 15 to apply for college money courtesy of the Joseph DiGirolamo Scholarship Foundation.

Under the scholarship program, five graduating seniors who are Bensalem residents will be awarded $2,000 each.

Students must enroll in at least a two year, full time day course in a school above the secondary level. Scholarship applicants must demonstrate qualities of leadership, good citizenship and scholastic ability.

Scholarship payment will be made to the student by the mayor after a copy of the college billing is received, showing the payment has been made.
