Beneficial Bank Holds Book Drive
Beneficial offices will collect new or gently used books for Philadelphia Reads.

Today, in its continuing mission to support education initiatives, Beneficial Bank will launch a book drive to benefit children in grades Pre-K – 8 in Pennsylvania and children and adults in Southern New Jersey. Throughout the month of August, all Beneficial offices will collect books to donate to Philadelphia Reads and The Drenk Center.
“As an Education Company, Beneficial Bank is committed to providing our customers and employees with opportunities to support local education initiatives,” said Gerry Cuddy, Beneficial Bank president & CEO. “This back to school season is the perfect time to launch our book drive. Beneficial is pleased to partner with Philadelphia Reads and The Drenk Center, two organizations that are doing impactful work in our communities and helping to spread the joy of reading to people of all ages.”
According to a release, Beneficial customers and non-customers are encouraged to stop by any of Beneficial’s 60 local offices to donate their new or gently used books. A complete list of Beneficial locations can be found at https://www.thebeneficial.com/locate.asp.
