Bensalem Coronavirus Closures Extended To April

Buildings and facilities in the township are shut down in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

BENSALEM, PA — Township buildings and other facilities shut down in Bensalem due to the coronavirus outbreak will stay closed through at least April 3.

Over the weekend, township officials announced that the shutdown first announced in mid-March will be extended another week.

All township board, commission and committee meetings are canceled through that time, the township announced.

Also, all township-sponsored programs, workshops, sports activities and special events at Bensalem facilities or on township fields are canceled.

Facilities and buildings closed until April 3 include:

  • Bensalem Township Administration Building, 2400 Byberry Rd.
  • Bensalem Township Public Works, 3800 Hulmeville Rd.
  • Bensalem Township Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Rd.
  • Bensalem Township Country Club, 2000 Brown Ave.
  • Bensalem Township Community Park, 4301 Richlieu Rd.
  • Firefighters Field, 80 Rockhill Dr.
  • All playground equipment on township property

Township personnel are available by telephone to help residents at the following numbers:

  • Township Public Works service requests: 215-633-3733
  • Other township services; 215-633-3600

The Bensalem Police Department will remain open to the public at the designated entrance of the Township Municipal Building.
