Bensalem HS Marine Corps Takes Designation As Naval Honor School
The Marine Corps connected a streamer to their company guidon, signifying their new designation for academic achievement and public service.
BENSALEM, PA — The Bensalem High School Marine Corps JROTC officially took on the designation of Naval Honor School on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Cadets were given a streamer by the Director of Marine Corps JROTC which they connected to their company guidon. The streamer signifies the company's new standing for several accomplishments by cadets in the school and their community.
Numerous cadets have remained active in school activities and clubs; several have also achieved academic awards and scholarships for their grades and other scholastic achievements. Other cadets worked with local organizations and gave hours to community strive as a unit and as individuals. For these achievements, the company was awarded the streamer to show their numerous moments of success.

The high school Marine Corps was also measured by participation in public affairs events, drill/color guard team competitions, marksmanship competitions, leadership camps, physical fitness team competitions, and field trips.
The event took place in the school's gymnasium at 7:15 a.m. 2020 Cadet Leadership members Kaitlyn Robinson, Mohamed Kafya, and Shayna Sit were present for the ceremony.
