Bensalem Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect
Police arrested Keenan Coats in Philadelphia after he allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Street Road in Bensalem.
BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem Police have arrested a suspect wanted for the robbery of a local Wells Fargo Bank that took place on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Police responded to a hold-up alarm from the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2349 Street Road on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. Employees of the bank said that a black male wearing a black hat, black jacket, black overalls, and dreadlocks had just handed a bank teller a note demanding $10,000 in 100 dollar bills. The note also said he had a bomb on his person. The teller gave him an undetermined amount and he left.
Bensalem Police used security footage to determine that the suspect left in a black Chevrolet Impala. They determined that Keenan Coats was the owner of the vehicle. Detectives then put out a warrant for the vehicle.

With help from officers from the BucksMont Safe Streets Task Force, Bensalem Police found the vehicle parked on the 1500 block of North Broad Street in Philadelphia on Monday.
Coats was seen walking toward the vehicle and was arrested at the scene. He was transported to the Bensalem Township Police Department and confessed to robbing the bank in Bensalem on Saturday.

Coats was charged with robbery and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Gallagher and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $300,000 bail.
