Man Robs Bensalem Bank, Flees On Bike: Cops

Maurice E. Ray allegedly handed a bank teller a note that said 'THIS IS A ROBBERY' before taking the money and leaving on a bicycle.

BENSALEM, PA — The Bensalem Police Department, along with the BucksMont Safe Streets Task Force, have arrested a man who robbed a local bank on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 16.

According to police, Maurice E. Ray, 31, entered the Bank of the America located on 1975 Street Rd. at 9:10 a.m. He then allegedly gave a bank teller a note that read 'THIS IS A ROBBERY' and demanded the teller give him cash.

After taking the money, Ray fled the scene on a bicycle.

Ray is described as a black male, standing at 6 feet tall, wearing a a dark jacket, black face mask and dark colored knit hat. He is currently wanted for Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, Possessing instruments of a crime, and Simple Assault.

Ray was arrested in Philadelphia on Friday, Dec. 17.
