Bensalem Township SD Celebrates School Director Recognition Month
The school district will recognize school directors who have made an impact on Bensalem's quality of education in the past year.
BENSALEM, PA — The Bensalem Township School District will recognize the month of January as 'School Director Recognition Month'.
"In honor of our school boards’ commitment to our students, schools and communities, January is once again designated School Director Recognition Month," the school district said in a statement.
The school district has participated in this tradition for a number of years, celebrating the necessity and achievements of school employees throughout the district and around the country.

"Every January, we take time to celebrate and recognize these everyday heroes – our elected school board member swho devote 20 + hours a month to the challenging and complex responsibilities of board business, including voting on budgets, adopting policy, and conducting comprehensive planning."
These directors oversee a budget of $163 million budget, which is used for improvements toward the education of all children and teenagers in the school district.

The locally elected members who are recognized this month are:
Eric Price, President
Heather D. Nicholas, Vice President
As well as Marc Cohen, Jack W. Meyer, Jiten Patel, Joseph A. Pettyjohn, Kim J. Rivera, and Heather Snyder.
