Bucks County HS Employee, Coach Sexted Young Students: Cops
The teaching assistant and coach sent nude photos and Snapchat messages to several 14 and 15-year-old girls, police said.
BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem Police have arrested a teaching assistant and sports coach at Bensalem High School for his alleged unlawful contact with student s via texts and social media.
Donnie Reed, 27, of Philadelphia, was was charged with six counts ofunlawful contact with a minor, three counts of sexual abuse of children, six counts of corruption of minors, and other related offenses.
Police and other authorities began investigating the incidents on Wednesday, Oct. 6, after an anonymous report was filed, claiming Reed had been sending inappropriate text messages and photos to underaged girls at the high school.

Reed, who also worked as a basketball and football coach at the high school, had also allegedly been sending Snapchat messages and pictures to several girls, all of whom were around the ages of 14 and 15, according to investigators. Reed had allegedly asked for nude photographs of the girls, as well as asking them inappropriate questions and sending pictures of himself engaged in sexual acts. He also allegedly asked for oral sex from one of the students.
"The safety and well-being of our students is always our highest priority at Bensalem Township School District," the Bensalem Township School District said in a statement. "As soon as we learned of the situation being investigated, we removed the individual from his work and coaching duties and all interactions with students. He was immediately placed on leave."

The school district said that all required background checks for Reed were cleared at the time of his hiring.
Counseling services are currently available to all students involved in the incidents or who are affected by them in any way, the school district said.
Reed was arraigned and booked at Bucks County Correctional Facility. Bail was set at 10 percent of $1 million.
