Ducklings In Distress Rescued In Bensalem: See Photos
The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department rescued five ducklings trapped in a sewer grate on Monday night.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — They certainly aren't ugly ducklings.
And after their rescue Monday night, they've found their way into the hearts of the firefighters who helped free them.
The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department's duty crew was alerted on Monday night about a family of ducklings in distress.

Fire crews arrived to the corner of Neshaminy Boulevard and Neshaminy Valley Drive to find that five ducklings had fallen into a sewer grate.
While four of the feathery friends were scooped up from the grate, the last duckling decided that playtime wasn't yet over.

Fire crews said they spent an hour playing hide and seek with the last duckling before its rescue.
All ducklings were rescued and reunited with their mama, fire officials said.
