Aggravated assault while DUI charges have been filed in connection with a crash that injured a child last month in Bensalem.

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem have charged a woman with aggravated assault while DUI in connection with a crash that injured a child at a school bus stop last month.
Kathleen Wesley, 35, of Croydon is facing charges in connection with the Jan. 6 crash at Bensalem Boulevard and Timber Lane. Police said a 12-year-old girl was crossing Bensalem Blvd to board the school bus when she was struck by a White 2000 Ford F-150 pick up truck, driven by Wesley.
Police determined Wesley failed to stop for the red stop signals on the bus. A blood test revealed she was under the influence at the time of the crash, police said.
