Education Foundation Awards $13K in Grants

From author day to a robotic challenge to the addition of ukuleles in music class, 29 Bensalem Township School District classrooms will soon benefit from a total grant of $13,395.

Offered by the Just for the Kids Education Foundation, the awards, ranging from $250 to $500, were announced during this week's school board meeting.

In all, School Board President Ralph Douglass said the nonprofit organization received 36 applications for classroom projects. The hope, he said, is to "bring that amount back to the $1,000 level," Douglass said of the funding.

The 29 projects that will receive funding are as folllows:
