At Bensalem High, Melanie was a member of The Owls Television Network (OTN), which prides itself on preparing students not only for a successful future in video and television production, but a successful future in whatever field they intend to pursue.  Although the class curriculum is predominantly focused on the ins and outs of TV production, there is also a huge emphasis on success principles. Students in the upper level courses all edit with Final Cut Studio, and produce daily shows using the Tricaster Studio.

When Melanie was in OTN she was the producer of the winning film, “Chance,” in the 2009 OTN Film Fest. She was also the co-writer and co-producer of the senior class video, which was based on Dr. Seuss and his stories. Her commitment to excellence that she exemplified in high school has obviously stayed with her as she moved on to Hoftstra University.

C J Mills, the Owls Television Network, and The Bensalem Township School District are extremely proud of this promising young star, and all of her accomplishments.
