Fugitive Nabbed Trying to Cash Out at Parx

He won $2,500 and was caught when the casino swiped his ID.

An accused dealer, drugs not cards, was apprehended at Parx Casino after he won $2,500 playing blackjack.

According to altoonamirror.com, Mateen "Jay" Johnson, 34, of Altoona, was brought back to Blair County on Saturday. He was wanted on multiple drug charges.

His capture came as he was cashing out his winnings.

"When they (casino employees) swiped his ID, it came back that he had a warrant and they called the police," said Altoona Detective Sgt. Troy Johannides told the Mirror.

Johnson told police he was going to surrender and was at Parx to raise some cash for his bail, Johannides said.
