Holy Family Senior Selected Player of the Week
Catherine Carr averaged 17 points, six boards and over four assists in the last three games.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Senior Catherine Carr (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women’s basketball Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 6. Carr shared this week’s honor with the University of the Sciences senior Caitlin Shaw.
Carr is the third member of the team to be honored as the conference’s player of the week this season. Graduate student Samantha Thompson (Southampton, Pa./St. Basil’s) was selected Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 22 and senior Meghan Gibson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) earned the honor for the week ending Dec. 20.
Carr led the offensive attack as the Tigers went 3-0 this past week with victories over Philadelphia University (87-70), Chestnut Hill College (94-42) and Bloomfield College (69-51). She averaged 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists in the three victories.

Carr highlighted the week with a game-high 25 points against Philadelphia. She also grabbed five rebounds and dished out seven assists in the win over the Rams. She followed that up with a 12-point performance over Chestnut Hill and capped the week with a 14-point, nine-rebound and three-assist performance versus Bloomfield.
This season, Carr is averaging 15.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game and is ranked among the conference leaders in all three categories. She will enter this week only two points away from moving into third place on the all-time scoring list and 22 points away from moving into second place. She currently has 1,799 career points. Her next basket will make her the fourth player in program history to score over 1,800 points.Â

Holy Family (15-3, 12-1 CACC, ranked 21st in the recent USA Today/ESPN Division II Top-25 Coaches’ Poll and second in the NCAA Division II East Region Poll, will host Georgian Court University on Wednesday, Feb. 9. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
