Holy Family to Become a Habitat Campus Chapter

The Northeast school would become the fifth in Philadelphia named a Habitat chapter.

Holy Family students have built homes for displaced families across the nation during Spring Break week for the past five years as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge program.

According to a release, each year, the University program becomes more popular with students and staff, and the number of students taking the trip has increased.

Now, Habitat for Humanity in Philadelphia plans to grant Holy Family University campus membership status. Only four other colleges in Philadelphia have official Habitat for Humanity member status. They are Temple University, Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia University. The sanction is a testament to the hard work and passion Holy Family students and staff have committed to their service with Habitat.
