Local Nurse Named to Heart Association Board

Nazareth Hospital nurse Theresa "Terry" Conejo, of Bensalem, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Heart/Stroke Association's Great Rivers Affiliate.

According to a Nazareth release, Conejo has been an AHA advocate in the PA 8th Congressional District for over four years, received the Great Rivers Affiliate Distinguished Achievement Award in 2009 and currently serves on the AHA  National Advocacy Committee. She also was named the 2009 recipient of the Henrietta Villaescusa Award for Community Service by the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN).

Great Rivers includes five states: Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
