Pa. Slots Up 7.4 Percent for September; Parx Tops $31M
Bensalem and Bucks County split $1.2 million in local taxes.
Pennsylvania slot machine revenue was up 7.4 percent in September 2011 with $200 million over last year’s $186 million.
At , revenue dropped slightly from $31.3 million last September to $31.1 million this year – a .7 percent drop. Parx had the highest slots revenue followed by Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh at $23.4 million, Sands Casino in Bethlehem at $22.7 million and Harrah’s Casino in Chester at $21.1 million.
According to a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board release, September slots revenue at the state’s 10 casinos generated almost $109 million in taxes.

At Parx, slots play in September garnered $10 million in state taxes and nearly $1.2 million in taxes for Bensalem and Bucks County. Parx has about 3,400 slot machines.
