Find Out Details On Pedestrian Killed On Interstate 95

Pennsylvania State Police said the Philadelphia man was struck early Thursday on the highway in Lower Bucks County.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning after he was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Lower Bucks County, State Police said.

Pennsylvania State Police said the unidentified man was pronounced dead at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital after he was struck around 2:45 a.m. Thursday on northbound Interstate 95 in Bensalem Township near the Bristol Township line.

Pennsylvania State Police said the pedestrian was waving down cars on the highway and was in the travel lanes when he was struck.

State Police officers began performing life-saving chest compressions on the injured pedestrian. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was pronounced dead by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office.

State Police said a driver was traveling in the center lane of the highway when his vehicle struck the pedestrian on the driver’s side front. Troopers reported that the pedestrian was thrown 40 yards into the median of Interstate 95.

The driver remained at the scene and is reportedly cooperating in the investigation.
