Police Investigate Possibly Impaired School Bus Driver

Bensalem police are confirming that an investigation is being conducted regarding a traffic accident involving a Bensalem School bus.

On June 15th at 4:05 p.m., a was travelling north on Knights Road approaching Street Road when the front of the bus struck a stopped vehicle. The driver of the school bus was interviewed and found to have exhibited signs of intoxication. The driver was later taken for a blood test to determine the amount of alcohol in the drivers system.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. Neither the driver of the school bus nor the other vehicle’s operator was injured.

Police are not releasing any names until the investigation is complete.
