Police Patroling For Illegal ATVs In Bensalem
Bensalem Police said they have "zero tolerance" for ATVs riding illegally on private property and public streets.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Township Police Department is deploying its new all-terrain vehicles to combat illegal ATV riding on private property and public streets.
The Bensalem Township Police Motor Patrol Unit has begun patrols for motorcycles and ATVs illegally riding on roadways.
"We have taken a zero-tolerance stance on this type of activity," police said. "If you are found to be riding in violation of Pennsylvania laws, we will seize your motorcycle or ATV, and you will be cited for any violations, no matter your age."

On Monday, the Bensalem Township Police Motor Patrol Unit began ATV patrols in numerous township areas, including Grove Avenue, Tremont Avenue, Eddington, Dinosaur Lake, and Ramblers Field.
Officers will continue patrols on various days of the week, at different times, and across multiple township areas.

The Bensalem Township Police Motor Patrol Unit will utilize police ATVs, drones, and other technology to identify, locate, seize, and cite anyone engaged in this illegal activity.
Police are also warning parents that their children's actions will include them paying all fines.
"It would benefit you to talk with your kids and let them know that riding on roadways and private property is against the law, and you should discourage this type of activity," police said.
