Probe Into Man's Mysterious Death Along Bucks Co. Highway Ongoing

Where was Joshua McRae before he was found dead along the side of a Bucks County highway? Police continue to investigate.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — State Police continue to investigate a man's death following the discovery of his body along I-295 early Sunday.

No arrests have been made in the case, State Trooper Nathan Branosky said Tuesday morning. He said troopers are in Trevose following up on leads and continuing the investigation.

The man, identified as 31-year-old Joshua McRae, had multiple gunshot wounds when he was found along the roadway.

Portions of I-295 and I-95 were closed for several hours early Sunday after the body was found.

NBC10 reported McRae's body was found on the eastbound lanes of the highway in Bensalem, near Mile Marker 0.2.

Action News reported that a passing driver reported the discovery to police.

The investigation into the incident prompted the closure of both highways for several hours. The roads reopened after 7 a.m.

State police ask anyone with information on the McRae's whereabouts prior to the incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Unit at PSP Trevose at 215-942-3900.
