Registration Open For Bensalem PAL 'Winter Fun' Program
The program gives children with special needs the chance to participate in fun and engaging events. Register now to secure one of 15 spots.
BENSALEM, PA — The Bensalem Police Department's Police Activities League announced the opening of registration for the 2022 "Winter Fun" program.
"The program is open to the first 15 Bensalem Township residents (boys and girls) entering grades 4-8 with special needs," the police department said.
The program offers children with special needs the chance to engage in fun group activities, which are supervised by police officers and parents.

Registration for the program opened Tuesday and will close on Feb. 2. All registrations must be done through Sports Illustrated Play. Parents can create a family account and add each child they wish to be a part of the program.
Children who are selected for the program will have an orientation on Feb. 7 at the Bensalem Township Police Department, 2400 Byberry Road.

The 15 children will meet Mondays until March 7 for activities, which include trips to the Newtown Theatre, Altitude Trampoline Park, a yet-to-be-named bowling alley and a Home Depot craft night, the location of which will be announced soon.
Eligible children should be "high functioning and able to participate in the events," the police department said.
