
PhillyBurbs.com is reporting that Kim Townsend, the Bensalem school bus driver that faces drunk driving and related charges, waived her right to a preliminary hearing.
Townsend, 45, of the 4800 block of Cypress Avenue, was arrested on July 5 and charged with DUI, reckless endangering another person and endangering the welfare of children.
Police said test results found that Townsend's blood alcohol was a .19 percent about an hour after the school bus she was driving struck another vehicle at Knights and Street roads on June 15.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident but she had just dropped off school students in the area prior to accident, police said. Â
According to PhillyBurbs, Townsend is free on $15,000 bond. Her arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 23 in Doylestown.
