Seven Seek Szafran’s Vacant Council Seat
Ron Rysztogi, Marc Bourne, Harry Kramer, Harris Martin, John Mathieu, Heather Snyder and Yagnesh Choksi have thrown their hats in the ring.

Seven township residents want to step into the vacant township council seat left by Joseph Szafran, who resigned his office when he was recently named county Recorder of Deeds.
According to a story on PhillyBurbs.com, the individuals seeking the post told Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and the remaining four councilmen at a special public hearing why they want to serve the township.
The seven seat seekers are:

- Ron Rysztogi: a retired plant worker and real estate agent, U.S. Army veteran and lifelong township resident
- Marc Bourne: private investigator, planning commission, youth aid panel and township native
- Harry Kramer: 12-year veteran of school board, township resident since 1991
- Harris Martin: environmental engineer, local Democratic leader and candidate for township auditor
- John Mathieu: a facilities manager, member of the township zoning board and former chief of Eddington Fire Co.
- Heather Snyder: former principal of the Russell C. Struble Elementary School and former township council member in 1990s
- Yagnesh Choksi: school board member and former member of township environmental advisory board
Council President Ed Kisselback said one of the seven could be appointed as early as the July 11 township meeting, the story stated.
