Students Fight Cancer with Flowers

The National Honor Society at Bensalem High School sells daffodils each year and donates proceeds to the American Cancer Society.

The Chapter of the National Honor Society has been raising money for the American Cancer Society since 1992.

Each year, they participate in the Daffodil Days drive. The annual total of money raised has increased each year. NHS Advisor Maria Tressel announced that Bensalem High School students raised $6,630 this year, in memory of beloved assistant principal George Hadley who passed away in January.  Each year, they raise more money in pre-sales than anyone else in Bucks County. Their total to date is approximately $97,685.

Throughout the years, the district has received letters from Bensalem residents stating that they have received money from the American Cancer Society as a direct result of the efforts of Bensalem High School.
