Township Council, School Board Meetings: The Week Ahead

Here are five things you should know as the week begins:

• The Bensalem Township Council meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. The agenda includes a public hearing on an Ordinance restricting truck traffic along roads within the Byberry and Bridgewater Road corridor.
• The Bensalem Township School Board meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the district offices to further consider the final adoption of the 2013-2014 budget.
• The Bensalem Business Association's scheduled meeting on June 12 has been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for June 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Philadelphia Private Gym.
• Cornwells United Methodist Church hosts its monthly community dinner. The meal runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
• The National Weather Service predicts showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday, with the skies slowly clearing up through the rest of the week until a sunny weekend with highs in the 80s.
