Weather Service Issues Thunderstorm Watch

Watch is in effect until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service storm prediction center in Norman, Okla. issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region including Buck and Montgomery counties at 4:20 p.m.

The watch is in effect through 9 p.m. tonight.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. West wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
