Wednesday: Teen Idol Cody Simpson Free Concert at Musikfest Cafe

'Impractical Jokers' bring their antics to the Sands and an animated feature is screened at the Levitt.

  • Speaking of Australia, Cody Simpson, maybe the hottest thing to come from down under since Men at Work, plays a free acoustic concert at the Musikfest Café at 11 a.m. The show is open to the first 1,000 people who line up at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. ArtsQuest and show sponsor B104 have also been giving away VIP tickets and meet and greet passes for the performance. The teen idol burst on the scene in 2010 with single “iYiYi,” featuring rapper Flo Rida.
  • The “Impractical Jokers” bring their unique take on comedy to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The four lifelong friends—James, Joe, Sal and Brian—make it their mission to embarrass each other by staging public, mortifying challenges. Their dares are captured for a regular TV show on truTV. The live show features audience interaction and stand-up routines. Tickets are $35 and $55.
  • Animated feature The Pirates! Band of Misfits is the free movie at the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks at 8 p.m. The plot line, according to IMBD: Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.
