1. 4-unit mixed-use rebuild planned for old home in South Bethlehem (lehighvalleynews.com) — A long-vacant South Bethlehem home at 330 E. Fourth Street is set to be demolished and replaced with a three-story mixed-use building featuring four apartments and ground-floor retail. The city Planning Commission has unanimously approved the project, which will add off-street parking and improve sight lines near Polk Street in this historic, mixed-use corridor.

Flu cases surge across Lehigh Valley as hospitals report sharp increases (lehighvalleynews.com) — Flu cases are climbing fast in Bethlehem and across the Lehigh Valley, with St. Luke’s and Lehigh Valley Health Network reporting sharply higher patient volumes, especially among seniors and young children. State data show Influenza A driving the surge, and local health officials are urging residents to get vaccinated, watch for symptoms, and seek care quickly as Christmas approaches.

Notre Dame-GP's Sumpolec, Bethlehem Catholic's Dillard are Beast champions (mcall.com) — Bethlehem wrestling fans can celebrate as Bethlehem Catholic’s Keanu Dillard captured the 138-pound title and teammate Jack Cole also medaled at the prestigious Beast of the East in Delaware. Notre Dame-Green Pond’s Dom Sumpolec won at 190 pounds, leading a strong showing by multiple Lehigh Valley programs and highlighting the region’s depth heading into the rest of the season.
