Irvine was in the Bethlehem area less than two months ago to shoot an episode of “Restaurant: Impossible” at the Benner Street Restaurant & Bar at 1028 Broadway in Fountain Hill.
Irvine got a little more than he bargained for when a fire broke out in the restaurant on the second day of filming. Despite minor damage and injuries, the restaurant had its grand reopening on schedule after being closed for filming for two days.
According to the Food Network website, Irvine's show attempts to turn around failing restaurants in just two days with $10,000. Irvine implements new menus, design changes and retrains staff members, including the owners.
