Dentist With Revoked License Closes Practice

Dr. George Gordon had practiced dentistry for nine years even though his license had been suspended by state dentistry board.

 

A west Bethlehem dentist who has been working without a current state license for nine years suspended his practice this week due to an “acute stress disorder,” The Express Times reported.

Dr. George W. Gordon, whose was in a medical arts building at 701 W. Union Boulevard, had his dentistry license revoked in December by the Pennsylvania Board of Dentistry.

The board found that he had violated a previous board order, practiced dentistry without a license and “engaged in unprofessional conduct.”

According to the newspaper, Gordon’s license had previously been revoked in July 2007 after state officials found he had been practicing with an expired license for four years.

In 2010, Gordon was investigated again and state officials found he continued to practice without a license despite the suspension.

Gordon, who had practiced dentistry for 27 years, is now undergoing medical treatment for a stress disorder, according to a statement issued to the newspaper by Gordon's attorney, David Vaida.
