Look for Love in the Historic Downtown

Single and looking for love?

Historic Downtown Bethlehem might be a good place to be today as several local businesses and an online dating site have a “Matchmakingfest.”

Billed as a miniature version of the world famous Lisdoonvarna Matchmakingfest in Ireland’s County Clare, several downtown businesses will give singles a chance to mix and mingle – or even couples a chance to reignite that spark – from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For singles, the event hinges somewhat on the use of dating cards offered by datingaccessory.com, an Emmaus-based business that provides dating advice and a unique system of meeting people on the run.

On the front, the card says: “You Caught my Eye.” On the reverse of the card a disclaimer reads “If you are involved, I apologize ... please take this as a compliment.”

A representative of the Website will be downtown with a booth to explain the system, while making free dating tips and giveaways.
