Police: City Man Threatened to Burn Down House
Montclair Avenue man allegedly punched woman numerous times and threatened to break her neck and burn down her house, police say.

A Bethlehem man was jailed Saturday after he allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill a woman and burn down her house.
Adam Chilli, 23, of 816 Montclair Ave. is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

According to court records, police were called to Chilli's address Saturday for a report of a domestic assault. When they arrived, they found a woman who said Chilli had punched her numerous times. He also threatened to "burn down her house, break her neck and kill her," court records say.
Police could see a broken blood-vessel in one of her eyes. Chilli had run into the woods near his home when police arrived, but eventually came out and was taken into custody.

He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Gay Elwell in Easton and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
